Default Avatar?

I've never messed with an avatar, but I'm trying to lighten up <G> and add one, but can't. I go to "Forum Prefs", "avatar-- choose stock", click on a selected avatar, close window, then click "Apply" at the bottom of the "Prefs" window. No joy thus far.

Have I missed something?

Thanks,

What happens if you try to add your own image? Same thing?

Haven't tried to use one of my own images, I thought that I'd use a "canned" stock image first and then do a custom avatar. I'll dig around and see if I can find something to try.

I have seen some members with what look like the "stock" avatars, so I guess it's working.

I am having the same problem and yes that's the pop up box I get (Although for the old bipe). After I select OK I then click on apply but I still get the sleepy looking fellow.

***The avatar changed after I went into Internet Explorer and changed it.***

I just found the glitch. I am using the Mozilla browser. I switched over to IE and it changed for me.

Bill do you get the window that looks like this?

Yep, that is the confirmation window I get. Click it, wait to see if something else pops up, then close the thumbnail window.

Using Netscape 6.2, BTW.
