Default Confused about subscription e-mails

I am confused about the times/dates of forum postings

I got an e-mail dated at Jan 28, 2004 5:58 PM
indicating a post at 1/29/2004 12:58:33 AM

The link to the message was
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=1476793

The only post on the thread that might fit is dated:
1/28/2004 6:00:49 PM

It seems like, that the post referred to on the e-mail, is not visible, yet inside the forum, is that possible?

RCadmin's reply seems to fit the pattern:
The e-mail was dated:Jan 29, 2004 10:33 AM

The body of the e-mail had the following:
RCadmin at 1/29/2004 1:33:05 PM

It may be a part of the 5 hr differance that has plagued the site since sept.
It and a few other problems though not major still exist, a ghostly affect.

Time Test, C/P'd

I know why...our mail server is stamping it with its own local time. your time offset may not translate to our mail servers time which is a separate server.
