I'm new to this and notice some items where the seller rejected offers higher than the asking price. Is this servics like an auction where the seller can choose when to end it?

RCUniverse marketplace ads are classifieds much the same as you would find in your local newspaper. The seller can choose whatever offer they wish to accept and will usually accept offers for their asking price unless the buyer states a requirement in their offer the seller does not wish to honor.

If you place an offer and the seller accepts it, you will receive an email notification along with instructions on how to proceed with the transaction.
