RCU- I have a question for you guys. Why, and who, let "HIGHSPEEDLOWPASS" post on the CLOSED THREAD "r/c and terrorists"? The topic had been LOCKED and CLOSED for DAYS and they all the sudden it was at the top of the column with HIGHSPEEDLOWPASSES wise words of wisdom. RCU, is it your view that HIGHSPEEDLOWPASS had such valid and knowledgeable posts in that thread that you decided his view points couldn't go un-read, and you opened the topic for him, alone by himself, to post the "FINAL WORD"?
I actually had POSED this question to two seperate moderators, but never got a response from ANYONE AT RCU so lets just get it out in the open where everyone can smell the stench.
Maybe I am one of the patriotic few at RCU but I though his comments throughout the post were less than all American, although he claims to be a military man on a mission to inform people where to buy "UAV's" so they can "send Bush a message"

Looks to me like he forgot to close the thread. I still have a spot in it here that I can comment on in that thread. Don't see the point though. Seems to me a lot of arguing that can go nowhere. Take your plane out and have some fun. Seems the point has been well hashed out.

No its on page 4 and its closed. I don't want to discuss the thread or topic. I want to see why RCU decided it a wise decision to let HIGHSPEEDLOWPASS post on a closed thread, after all that was said. Apparently RCU though his comments deserved a second look because he was so insightful and patriotic, after all RCU is a American web site....right?

So whats up high up RCU staff? I am ready for a reasonable answer anytime you are ready to offer it up.
BY the way- the moderators in the clubhouse are the ones who allowed highspeedlowpass to post after a thread WAS CLOSED! so why isn't this thread appropriate there?!?!?!!??!
After all, they are the ones in their infinite wisdom who let it happen!

Todd, I've been trying to work with you through PM's on this. The folks you want to hear from can't necessarily respond quickly. It's not too likely that they're even aware of this yet. Give them some time.

Not sure how you figure that it was closed for days. As far as I can see, you made a post on 04/10 exactly one day before the post that you seem to be complaining about (the last post in the thread was on 04/11).... if it had been closed for days, how did you manage to do that ?
RCU, is it your view that HIGHSPEEDLOWPASS had such valid and knowledgeable posts in that thread that you decided his view points couldn't go un-read, and you opened the topic for him, alone by himself, to post the "FINAL WORD"?
I doubt it. Most likely the moderator who made the second last post in the thread intended it to be the last, but simply forgot to close the thread after his own post in which he stated that he was closing the thread ... and then he realised his oversight and closed it once he saw that another post had appeared.
That seems a bit more likely to me, than assuming any kind of consipracy or collusion.
YMMV,
Gordon

I allowed the last post. I will share some information as to why, but I do not want to go into great detail because I do not want to start another argument like the one that caused the first thread to be closed.
I closed the thread at 9:26pm central, on April 10. I got off line shortly after that. HiSpeedLoPass sent me a PM at 10:30 that evening expressing his desire for the entire thread to be deleted or for your replies to be posted as they read prior to your editing them. I got the PM either later that night or the next morning, but by that time HiSpeedLoPass was off line.
I responded to his PM and informed him that I had no way of retrieving your unedited replies and that I did not think deleting the entire thread was appropriate. I offered to open the thread for a short time for him to reply. He agreed and submitted what he was going to post to me in a PM. I did not see a problem with what he intended to post. It was the evening of the 11th when HiSpeedLoPass and I were both on-line at the same time. I opened the thread, he made his post and I closed it again.
I was not taking his side, I was attempting to get everyone to move on beyond the argument and return to using RCU as it is intended - to talk about RC. If you feel that I gave him an unfair advantage by allowing this, I apologize. Both sides of the thread were passionate and it is doubtful that any amount of additional posts to the thread will result in changed opinions. Sometimes there is no clear correct answer to a problem. I did what I felt was best with no ill intent.
I ask that you accept my apology and let's get back to the fun of talking about our hobby/sport.
Eric
