This is my first time with LIPOand a charger and Iam having difficulty with my initial charge.

Ihave a 5100 Mah 2s1p7.4v battery as my test subject.

Ihave read the manual and have the charger set to 2.0A2S 7.4

Ihave the battery plugged into the 2S slot on the dongle and the dongle plugged into the right side of the unit.

When Ipress and hold the "start enter"button for 3 seconds it says it is "checking battery"and then beeps and says CONNECTION BREAK.

Any ideas?

OK, so Iresearched and found that Ineeded to also plug in the TRX connector from the battery into the AC6 as well through another set of connectors. This seems odd, but OK. It seems to be working now. Please let me know if this is incorrect.

So, now Ihave the charger plugged in to the 2S adaptor into the with one dongle as well as the TRX plug plugged in with another dongle.

You got it correct. The main charge lead must always be used , the balance lead is optional. All charging goes thru the main lead to the whole pack.

This is maxamps support , if needed we can have this moved to regular batts/chargers forum.
