I want help my 7yr old launch a rocket and I was wondering, what is the recommended wind speed or the ideal max wind speed? I am sure the 0 is ideal, but is 15 mph too strong? I really don't want to get into math to figure out where it will land
I want to try to launch one over the next week off a frozen lake. Thanks
Jon

The more flights you have, the better you can understand the wind and what it will do to the model. 15 MPH is getting up there, but still flyable, as the flight path will turn into the wind, or feather.
Make sure the wind is in your face, across the lake into you, it should go fine.

Thanks, my son had his first launches today, he loved it. The wind started getting a little strong so we left, but no problems.
