Watching with anticipation..........

Laceycopter, good man, test the waters, let us know what is required from stock UFO to modded.

2 x DFII (would you believe one of the boards fried recently after many years of service, must get it serviced) and waiting to upgrade to modded UFO when it hits wider production.

Regards from Canberra, Australia. Keep us posted.

hi @ all,

you can use in the german forum (in top of the page) the button (link) "in english" so it translates

and - i think if "tend2it" read my posts here - he would post more
he is a perfect translator for you and a very friendly guy.

LOL! Lacey is a real live heli-girl, uhh, I mean young lady pilot! She can probably outfly all of us. Well, not all of us.

Well, I stand humbly corrected Laceycopter. My sincerest apologies (as I bow and sweep my hat in front of me, ala three muskateers type bow).

Thanx Hammer,
But, believe it or not, I used 'In English' and babelfish.altavista.com to translate and interpret the German info in the forums to write my DIY mod guide ... since I don't speak a word of German. Glad you posted the 3D Piezoboard list info ... I wasn't sure how open the offer was ... hence I sent out a few PMs to some of this thread's posters. Here's some more info ... That looks fantastic!!! even the professional packaging. How do you support the lipo underneath? Any idea of cost?

hi eric,

the complete frames are in calculation now, i can say the prices end of the week.

i don't understand your question about the lipo, what do you mean exactly?

before i forget , here is the second frame - this is "ATMOSPHERE Freestyle" and the first one is the "ATMOSPHERE allround"

Looks great ... I was asking if there was a lipo tray underneath the main board plate to protect and house the lipo ... like the one the draganflyer has.

Hi Hammer,

Very nice work on CF and Alu motormounts!
Did you mold the CF or cut from stock CF sheet ? Did you use a lathe and milling machine for Alu motormounts ?

Cheers ADI

Hi ADI,

thx for your post.
The CF-Frame is designed on an CNC-Computer Programm and cutted from Standard CF Sheets on a hightech 5axis CNC-machine.

here is also a pic from the latest "Freestyle Frame" with the newest Alu-motormounts

in this version the complete weight, including all components "ready for takeoff" is only 210Gramm.

Hi Hammer ...
Super job on the freestyle frame ... what is the difference between the standard and freestyle frames? Also, are the labels going to be silkscreened on or decals? ... personally, I think the jet black plain look is sportier lookin'!

hi eric, thx

the labels are only a design test.
The differnce between the two frames is very hard for me to explain correct in english
I will try it with short words.

The allrounder is stiffener and solid rock (good for speed) and the freestyler is a little Jumper,
i make the frame-names like snowboards

allrounder - every where
freestyler - for tricks, jumps, halfpipe

i hope you understand what i mean?

Hammer_DE,

Awesome job with the mods I look forward to ordering the new piezo board. By the way do you know of a place where I can buy an aftermarket transmitter for the X-UFO? I know that the frequencies are off for distribution in the US, but if you know of some site to go to I would really appreciate it. The transmitter that comes with the UFO is very untrustworthy and I would feel alot more comfortable with a futaba or just about anything that doesn't feel cheap. Thanks for your time and keep up the good work!!!

The frames look nice, but they look Heavy with lots of surface area for wind to catch. How much do they weight?

hi koop
thx - and tend2it can give you the answers about the TX. Maybe you send him a PM?

@hoverdown
no - the frames are realy not heavy - they are lightweight.
The xufo weight is with this frame "ready to lift off" incl. lipo only 210 Gramm.
The Stock-Ufo is much more heavier

And here are new Pics from our Race-Model with a lot of Alu.
