There may be an issue with damaged reeds. Check the reed block, and replace the reeds if needed. (or have it done)
The reed intake engines normally have no blow-back at all.
It is normal for the reeds to be about 0.02" off the surface. Just check for broken or frayed reeds.

I checked the reeds and one reed has a larger openning then the other. I'm guessing this is a problem. Should I replace or is there a fix for this? Will the Evolution parts "reeds" fit?
Thanks,
Mark

Larger than or smaller is no issue. How large is the opening?
Evolution and MVVS are the same, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
