Pe, Dar,
I just bought a new MVVS 26 and noticed that they stopped using the Vlach Ignitions. The new engine has an ignition marked MSR Engines.
I have one MVVS 26 with the Vlach ignition and was planning to use both engines in a Twin.
Will the new ignition cause the engine to perform differently than the Vlach?
Will I have problems synchronizing them?
Thank You!
Bob

Hardly,
Both ignitions have advance curves. In my humble opinion, the carb adjustments have greater influence on midrange than the rpm advance curve.

Even with the blury pics, have never been able to get my vlach ignition on the 26 hooked up correctly. I just leave the line to the servo off and it runs fine. I dont try to hand start the thing, good old go cart starter does fine. Mine is in a QQ 73" yak 54, flys ok other than torque rolls. Lets see, last time I flew the thins was about 8 months ago. Should get around to getting it hooked up right, but the lingth of plug wire forced the box location inside the fuse. Not anxious to dig it out.
I have the BCM muffler that runs vertically down, choisen at the time as there was nothing that would obviously work with the qq yak motor mount style. Is there a better performing muffler out there that will work with this install you are aware of? Thanks.

You won't miss the choke servo. It's a nice gadget, but no necessity.
edit:
BTW, you have a MSR ignition AKA ICU. This is the latest one, and if you have a 26cc engine, there won't be a choke servo connection to hook up. The 26 and 35cc have the light version which don't have the choke option.
