Default 8.0 Question for Dar or Pe

Hello Gentlemen

I recently broke-in & installed a New MVVS 8.0 engine on a 3D plane.

The problem I have is the carb barrel starts to stick after the 2nd flight.

I then take the barrel out & remove a small burr from housing & 360 grit emery paper the barrel & reassemble & it is fine for 2 more flights before sticking again.

Rather than do the same procedure again I decided to ask the experts as the old style carbs never gave me an ounce of trouble.

Suggestions please??

Thanks, Mike

The barrel groove top probably is sharp, and runs against the guide slot bolt. this causes a slight burr to form. If you chamfer the top of the cut groove, there will be no burr to interfere with barrel movement/rotation.
OTOH, It may be just plain debris or a binding idle needle inside the spray bar, so check/clean/alighn very well.
