These shipping fees do not necessarily represent UPS published rates and may include handling charges levied by this store.
does anyone know why Nitroplanes charges above $20 instead of $8 or $12 for normal ARF package by UPS?
i was shock when i see this. is it the way that Nitroplanes get extra money out of customers' order?

The shipping and handling fees of Nitro Models/Planes is a subject of great debate here. The extra money can easilly be justified by them having to pay for packing materials and pay someone to box it up and send it to you. If you think you are not paying for this from other online ARF distributors such as Tower or Horizon you are dead wrong... They simply shift the cost to the price of the plane and give you a lovely $8.99 flat rate shipping charge. So it is up to you to decide which is less offensive to your own sensabilities and shop there. For me I see no difference and will purchace from either vender if they have what I am looking for.

Their shipping rates are in line with everyone else's.
Check the other thread where some people erroneously claim otherwise, yet when things are actually compared there are no real differences.
In some cases Nitroplanes comes out cheaper, in others more expensive, usually due to distances and carrier fees involved.

Via Fedex Ground, no insurance it cost me 38 bucks!
That said I think you should cut Nitro some slack.
