Finally got around to putting the Zlin together. Had it for 2 months and never took it out of the box. Plane looks great. All parts accounted for. We decided to hang an inverted Magnum 52fs on the front. All was fine till we tried to turn the mount around. The holes in the firewall are drilled so that it will only mount sideways. Our only choice was to fill holes and redrill or just mount sideways. I really didn't want to hack the side of the beautiful cowl or mess with the firewall. Instead we opted to mount a Rossi 45 sideways with a Pitts muffler. It fits perfectly with no cutting. I'm assuming the holes were just drilled incorrectly at the factory. I also noticed there is an extreme amount of right thrust built in. Has anyone else run into this problem? I just hope it flys as good as it looks. Will post some pics next week when shes put together.

I've got the Zlin 140 w/26cc SPE. First landing nice and light, the wt. of the plan broke the landing gear block up and out of the fiberglass. Poor design.

I've not even had it completly out of the box yet. It's next in line to be built. I usually go through all glue joints &"beef up" the landing gear area on all ARFs. Hopefully that will catch that. Other than that, how did it fly?
