I recently obtained an old FL 70 four stroke in a purchase of several planes. I would like to replace the bearings but am having trouble removing the piston and rod so I can take out the crank. I have removed the cylinder sleeve but can't determine how to remove the piston/rod from the bore. How do I do this?

Never mind. Got the piston out. There was so much corrosion/gunk on the wrist pin that the rod would not slide over far enough to remove it from the crankshaft. Penetrating oil and a lot of working the rod back and forth did the trick. After run oil people. Use it!

Glad you got it done. Many times, you need to heat the assembly to soften the hardened fuel residue.
