AM, I have an OS160FX I bought 6 months ago and put it in a GP US1000, the engine runs great and starts up easy, I have about 1/2 gallon through the engine. My question is when I rotate the prop by hand it makes a scratchy sound as if there is something inside the piston area, but again it runs great. I have 2 other OS160's and neither make this sound, this one has been sounding like this since day one. I purchased the engine at my LHS brand new. What should I do? Thanks, Daz...
BTW, when it is flying although it runs good it does have a different sound than my other 160's.
