Bill,
I have an older OS Max RF 61 pumper engine that I'm trying to get some information on. As far as I can remember I purchased it in the late 1980's. I looked for it on the O.S. site tonight and found two engines that are similar but they don't quite match. It was purchased from Mulchers Hobbies (sp) along with a Hanno Pretener (sp) Magic. I'm just getting back into the hobby about 2 years ago after a long absence and want to finish the Magic and put in the 61 RF and the pipe that came with it.
The engine runs great, just not through the pump! I've got to send it in to have that worked on. I've never run it with the pipe, but it must run like a scalded dog with that attached. From my racing days when a bike came on the pipe you'd better be hanging on and I'm sure it's the same with this plane/engine combo.
Here are a few images of the engine -> http://www.connellstudios.com/HTML/index.htm
If you will click the F11 key while in your browsere you can see the images full view without the browser headers. When finished just click the F11 key to return to your normal screen.
If you have information as to what engine I have I would appreciate it.
Thanks a bunch for the service you do here...

Bill,
I got a reply from a Nick A. in Product Support. He said they were not working on any .61's any more and didn't have all the parts to do so. But he included 4 .PDF files that had great information as to the pump adjustment and where the fuel, pressure and return lines were to be attached. That helped me there. He also gave me several names and addresses where folks are still working on them and have a large supply of parts. The engine will run fine, but it's my thought now that I didn't have the plumbing on the pump correct. I plan on trying it again this weekend on the bench.
I took down the images as I thought that was all the reply I would get. I have put the images back but in a slightly different place. Please look here -> http://www.connellstudios.com/OS%20Max/index.htm
Bill, so sorry for the trouble and if you can give me any information about this engine I would be greatful.
Regards,

You have an O.S. Max .61 RF-P engine. It's the same as the .61 SF-P as far as operation is concerned. It was from the production series prior to the .61 FX engine.
If you send an email to the address below, requesting instructions for the .61 SF/RF pumped engine, and for the pump and carb instructions to go with it, we should have no problems getting them to you.

Bill,
That's great information and I thank you for your time here on this. One question I would like to know... Is this an ABC engine?
Thanks much for your efforts and hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
