Default Gran Turismo 5 - Finally Here

Will finally be here Tuesday, totally can't wait. I've been pouring over videos and articles, it's insane how big this game is. The gameplay seems amazing, gorgeously rendered cockpits, dynamic weather, amazing graphics engine - this is shaping up to be the king of driving games.

If you have a PS3, buy this game

Shame that it's stuck on a PS3.

To bad for who? Not for me. I am getting this + a G27 for xmas. Yes I want it now but I will wait. This is not the type of game you want to use a controller for (just saying).

just buy it because of the blu-ray, and it will still be a good deal.

I've never liked racing games, but I've been looking at this game a lot and it looks amazing, And so glad that PS3 has it's own big time exclusive game!

Awesome that it's stuck onPS3

And hands to big for cheezy controller? LOL.. I'm 6'2 230lbs with a ring size of 15-16.. I have no issues!

lol, I get Ya, They are pretty small. But then I find Xbox's to big.. They should really come out with a better design for both consoles

Well XBox has Forza Motorsport and that game is great in its own right. I will definitely be pciking up GT5 though I have been a loyal fan since the first release.

Interesting game. It's dissapointing on many fronts, such as graphics and polish - it looks really last gen.

However! absolutely awesome driving simulator, very addictive and fun gameplay.

I feel like they spend more time fleshing out all the extra content than polishing the graphics engine and core elements, but it's still a great racing game.

Better than Forza 3? tough call, the physics and handling model feel better but the graphics and presentation are weaker..,

I was quiet surprised when reviews started pouring in. For a game thats been being polished for like 5 years + its not as epic as I thought it would be. I keep hearing no g25/27? Say what?

Personally, I found the game to be awesome! the cars are unbelievable..... and there is a option to use the racing wheels you have to go to the main menus options bar and scroll down.

The only thing I didn't like, was the instruction manuel, it kinda sucked, and was basically useless. [&:] And for a person that now proudly owns 2 games for the PS3 good instructions are a must. LOL

i saw an hour long video interview and demo.Totally not impressed at all,the graphics are ok,and the menus are huge and there are tons of menus as well, also even if you load the game onto your PS3 hard drive ,load times are still pretty long, cockpit view is only on certain cars ,not all...replays look good, but there were jagged edges on some of the cars!!!,iam sorry for as long as they delayed this game to me not worth the wait at all,and as long as this game took it should be flawless.and the guy on gamespot who was doing the interview didnt look excited about the game and what they were showing.he wasnt one time excited about anything he saw,i mean the new F1 game 2010 which i have, looks as good and gameplay is really good, and as it might not be better, its as good and it didnt take them 4 or 5 years to make.iam saving my money and will not be buying GT5. and also i would like to comment on that video posted above, from what i seen in this demo and interview none of the replays were that clean and good looking, some might be preety good ,but nothing like that.

People complaining about graphics have to realize that the PS3 is running hardware that's nearing 6 years old now. Optimization only goes so far seeing as how the PS3 wasn't very powerful when it was released.

Exactly, It's the same with the Xbox as well..( go look at the specs between PS3 and Xbox, PS3 had a bit more better internals going for it to ) Both systems are getting way out of date.

I dont care and PS3 isnt no 6 years old,and i dont care thye still havent tapped into all the power of PS3 and there are devolpers out there that are saying this. like i said before ,it sure wasnt worth all the hype and wait, iam sorry when i saw jagged edges on the replay....PLEASE.iam sorry the PS3 is way to powerful to have jagged edges on any game.need i say Medal of Honor Graphics,Call of Duty,Dantes Inferno,Assassins Greed. Sorry I dont buy that excuse that playstation 3 is too old.like i have said i have heard game companies talk about they havent even begun to tap out the PS3. go and email any video game comapny and ask them if PS3 is still have alot power they havent tapped yet.
GT5 isnt near worth the length of wait that they put everybody through.

And I am huge of PS3 ( and any of their past consoles ) to scottman, PS3's first release was "17 Nov 2006"
That's still 4years.. Any gaming, computer, tech savy person knows that a month down the road, That technology is out-of-date
Yes PS3 had some amazing internals and theres maybe a lil bit more juice left in it, But they won't try to boost it anymore, It will just make it laggy and longer loading times.
