RE: Trojan Horse
For folks that do not get the warning, the software vendors tell the program what to look for. For those that get the warning, the antivirus protection is pro-active in their protection until the software vendor can verify that the file will not harm the PC.
I am getting a warning for each new forum I visit on this site.
I use trendmicro enterprise at work and got a warning about some JS file trying to run. Sounds like a bad JAVA advertisement banner found on your site doods. This is why advertisements suck!!
Once again, this was caused by a bad advertisement banner folks, lets see if this post gets blocked or deleted by the admin that do not want to admit this.

RE: Trojan Horse
I find this is happening in IE only. Firefox does not appear to produce this error.
Tested using Seamonkey, Opera, Google Chrome, they all don't seem to show the error as well.
So looks like an IE thing, I only use IE for visiting RCU and RCCanada, as well as my hotmail email account. Use Firefox for general web browsing as I find it less likley to piss me off.

RE: Trojan Horse
McAfee is blocking a script: Exploit-CVE2009-0075 on each and every page accessed, and if I stay on any page more than a few seconds, the script is blocked numerous times. Hope they fix this soon, won't try accessing RCU for a couple of days, don't like infected servers.

RE: Trojan Horse
I had it too for about two days. Only showed up when I selected "Forums". My Security Essentials grabbed it , cleaned it and sent a copy to MicroSoft.
So far, no problems.

Please keep in mind, that MAC products are becoming increasingly targeted by the same problems faced by Microsoft. Viruses, advertising bugs, hacks since the market is groing more lucrative with more MAC users showing up everyday.
Fire Fox and other browsers are not programed the same way obvioulsy by learning from IE's mistakes, thus are not showing the same problem as the IE users that are saying hey there is a problem. Microsofts unwillingness to separate IE from windows updates will keep them busy.
Welcome to the life long battle buddy no matter what path you choose....
Now you have been slightly educated as to why we have the peeeee ceeee problems we do.
Anywho till next update tuesday c ya!!

Me too on the browser and antivirus. But I run AdBlock Plus (and get no trojan virus stuff). Install it if you haven't. It'll make things better.
