how can i put a copyright on my youtube video?
just over a year ago, my girlfriend recorded some songs she wrote onto a cd in a recording studio. i recently posted it on youtube so i could share it with friends and family on facebook. after i posted it, i started wondering, how can i keep somebody from stealing her lyrics? i want to protect her ownership to her song, she wrote the lyrics, piano music, and played and sang it in the studio, its 100% all hers. just wondering whet i can do to make sure it stays that way. thanks

The best answer to that question I found was here:

Personally, all my work automatically becomes the property of the company I work for. No I don't write songs or music, I write, produce (and often voice) radio commercials, promos, sweepers, etc.
If my company has been hired by a client to produce said client's commercial, once client has payed the fees, they own the copywrite to the commercial.
Have a good read of the link I posted. And good luck.
