Quake? I need it, if you have it...
For years now I have been searching for a full version of Worldcraft... preferably 1.6 and it must be the full version. I have worked with the shareware on and off, but some of the most effective tools are only available with the retail software.
Yes, I still edit original Quake maps. <insert giggles here>
If anyone has it, please let me know. The Quake forums on Stomped and elsewhere are going by the wayside []

Wow Quake? I haven't played that in years even though I own it. Last time I did any map editing was in Wolfenstien 3D.

Yes, Quake. An oldie but a goodie
I used to spend hours designing and building maps for the original Quake. I still have the files, but over the years my editor software went by the wayside. I love the process of creating them.
Now... yay! I can work on these again!

I played the original Doom when it first was released and quickly became addicted to the game. When Quake came out, my mind was blown and I sat night after night getting killed over and over. Love. It.

I remember playing Quake, but Quake II was my favorite. It was the first game I played online and I've been hooked since. Quake 3 sucked and 4 was ok-ish.

I have to agree about 3 and 4, but I must admit that 3 sure was intriguing when it hit the shelves. All those new textures, more polygons, curves... it was lovely to look at.

I only played single in all those versions. In the beginning I tried some online CTF, but ended up just fighting for myself.

Wow Quake?
Wow Quake?
ThunderbirdJunkie can't be bothered wtih this trivial BS anyway. He's got to save up some dough to upgrade his machine so he can play Duke Nukem Forever. 3D just isn't the same as playing a new Duke game.

Listen here, mister man... she is no elf! Ha ha ho ho hee hee!
Yes, I must agree that after years at the top of the Vaporware list, DNF will be welcomed in many a gaming machine.

Dunno every review I read of DNF basically said it was a poorly designed glitchy repetitive pile of crap (those reviews were from duke 3d fans btw)

Yes, there were always tons of naysayers on the 3DRealms forums. Years of that stuff. Perhaps if it didn't run into so many development issues it would be more welcomed.

I've read the gfx are kinda low end, long load times, only a hand full of actual textures, and models for enemies, AI dumber then hell, repetitive boss's (supposedly all are strafe in a circle while firing non stop). Duke can only hold 2 guns no matter the size.
That was for the xbox though. The PC reviews I read had similar complaints.
So I doubt it was naysayers from the sounds of it they rushed it just to get it out(and I guess not to go under like every other place that tried making it)

Well that just sucks out loud. Maybe I'll wait until it's on the $1.99 rack
Rushing it seems stupid after all the time that passed. I really enjoyed Duke 3D back in the day, and to wait all that time for a half-assed effort is very disappointing.

Quake 3 (and more significantly Q3 Team Arena) are still hailed as the finest multiplayer twitch shooters ever made. With Q3 and UT2k4 out at the same time, FPS competitors never had it so good. Awesome awesome games, both of them.
