Facebook changed the way we communicate?
I wasn't here for The Lounge "boom" back in the day. I'm so reluctant to do the whole FB "thing". A part of me doesn't want to be found

Really annoying when you check store stock of an item and you go to pick it up...item not to be found.
Website (local Lowes store) had quantity of 1 listed for an item. Went to store to find it...not there. Asked sales associate to help find item...none in store. I asked if they can have item shipped from another store, so that I may pickup at a later date. "Can't do that," they told me. A day later, their website still says they have one, of the item I'm looking for, in stock. I order item online for store pickup, just to amuse myself, and have workers look for it. I wait for email to confirm item is ready for pickup...of course that never happens, and I call store to find out why. "We are getting your order ready, Sir." Fifteen minutes later I get a phone call saying we are sorry to inform you the item you purchased is not at the store.
This is why I shop online, 95% of the time, to get what I need, and have items shipped to front door. I can't tell you how many times I've wasted gas, time, and energy while shopping at actual "brick and mortal" stores.
Frustrating

Sweet.
No wonder our local mall is becoming a ghost town.

yeah, malls are falling by the wayside as an inconvenient relic of the past. yet in January they're bulldozing Irwindale speedway to build a new state of the art mall... im thinking, isn't a state of the art mall Amazon? also no more open weekly drag strip. which means street racing should jump by about a million % and become a society crushing epidemic by mid February. should be fun.

Amazon? Yes, you are correct on state of the art mall correlation. I told my wife, "Amazon should just open up mini malls near Wal Marts, and be done with it." The rent for mall space is ridiculous at our mall. The big stores at both ends of the mall, JCPenny and Sears....gone. The only big attraction anymore, and stores that constantly has people at them...cell phone stores, and shoes. I only got to the mall once, or twice a year, and that is only if I have to be there for one of my daughter's reasons.

yeap. fun thing is there's rumors about the city looking for a new location for a track, and those rumors suggest that it will be on the other side of the freeway somewhere close by. but everyone with so much as 2 functioning brain cells calls BS and doesn't believe it.
there's also rumors of a track being built in i think it was Paris by some air port. there was even a city council meeting or something for it and the location and usage was approved but that seems to be as far as it got. and that was several years ago. people seem to have forgotten about that one.
there are still people trying to get Terminal Island/Brotherhood Raceway back open. there's been talk for years of a new track in Palmdirt.
none of that stuff will ever happen. false hope is better than no hope i guess. so want to street race?

Hey Loungers, hope you are all well!
I've not bothered with any RC for a couple of years at least, I tend to do a lot of outdoors/photography stuff nowadays but I'm just charging my original batteries up (I'm surprised they still charge!). I'm also driving these for a job nowadays..

"bug porn"...lol.
I've tried messing with my DSLR's settings, but usually revert back to auto for 99.9% of the pictures I take with that thing. I don't put time and effort into learning the ins and outs of shutter settings.

eBay best offer funny:
I needed, ok, wanted, an inexpensive tool for one of my RCs. Seller was asking $4.99, or Best Offer. I put up an offer of $4.15. Day goes by. A couple of hours ago I get a Counter Offer from the seller... $4.13

Had to hurry up and run my two packs down. Lawrence Welk comes on a 7:00
..I have a much better appreciation for the talent on that show nowadays. I probably said that here somewhere before. Half the stuff on the show I could do without. I guess I use the show as a relaxation hour. Back in the 70's, it was mostly background noise for me.
