RE: THE LOUNGE 2
Another new picture of the scorpion, got the inside chassis plates made up today... What a pain. Used Steel, which is a little harder to work with than the aluminum stuff I'm used too.
Turned out real well, the links, shocks, and transmission all mount to these plates, so they are pretty integral to the construction...

I went to my first RC event today. There was not that many people there and i meant someone on the forums there (pythonfan). It was a monster jam and unfortunately i could not stay that long got called into work early. Was pretty cool and i saw a lot of savages and a some revos.

I would also recommend the HobbyZone Super Cub, as we used to have 3 of them. I say there one of the best planes to learn on, all of my dad's friend also are learning on the Cubs.

Picked up a HobbyZone Super Cub... 130 dollars total for the setup new. Read a bunch of stuff on it this weekend, watched some videos, I think it'll be a good starter plane for me.
If I don't auger this one in, I'll probably pick up a larger plane next spring.

Good luck, it should do you well. Do yourself a favor and do short hops to get a feel for the controls. Each time make longer flights and practice a rectangle flight pattern.

Built a Quick 8cell - 1200mah Flight Pack for the Cub.
Give me an extra battery to play with, adds 1 extra cell for a little more power
2/3aa reconfigured in a brick setup.
