RE: THE LOUNGE 2
Another interesting race that Tebo lost in 2005. Ryan Cavalri took the cup!

I suppose that is before he got real good![8D]

Dude, I think you should be old enough to know that they have more than 1100mAh in the 80s..
My Wild Willy 1 (mid-80s) uses 1200mAh Tamiya pack.. obviously, not even world class racing battery...
I'd imagine that they were using 1700mAh - 2000mAh battery in the race...
Interesting to see the '87 race is still pretty darn fast.. sure, the new race has the extra kick that you can see... (instant acceleration.. from nothing, to clearing a triple, in like 3 feet..) But the '87 race was running pretty hot pace even by today's standard..
Give me any BL and the latest buggy, I wouldn't be able to drive at that '87 pace...
World class vs. regular Joe like me...

The 80's race was funner to see, because it's hard to find video's with the kyosho optima mid in it.
They were still quick back then, modified is modified...lol

Crashed the Titan earlier today practicing autos.
Not a bad crash really, considering what can happen. Looks like I'll need a boom, some assorted plastic doohickies and blades.[:'(]

brings to mind something i overheard several years ago at a party i was at. these two guys were there, and i had met both before. both of them were car nuts, and both of them had the same car - same year, trim level, etc... even the same performance upgrades. they were discussing their cars, and one of the guys seemed rather upset that his car was much slower at the track than his friends. they were discussing possible performance problems, and solutions to those problems. what made it funny was that the answer was literally right in front of them: although the cars were the same, the driver of the "slow" car weighed about 300 pounds.
