Is there a diff in the SuperChamp?

How robust is the tranny? Do you think it can take a mid level mod motor power? (like a XBR 8.5)

There you go. Reservoir is actually functional in this car.

No LB there's no diff in this thing. Just a counter shaft. No chance it could handle XBR. It would rip the spur to shreds. It wouldn't even fit, you need to mod it to fit anything other than silver/blackcans. Maybe a 550 can drop in directly in but I never tried.

Interesting.. maybe you are not giving Tamiya enough credit on their gear strength?! hee hee...

But yeah, probably not a great idea on a 20+ yrs old car!!

Oh, remember the eBay purchase I mentioned, that the guy kept giving me the run around.. ?!

Today I told him to refund my money.. I hate loser eBayers.. the first 2 weeks he said he has problem w/ PayPal (not my problem, my money was sent) and then he said "he does not have time to send it out because he works a lot"..

Maybe he shouldn't be selling stuff if he can't find time to send things out?!?

I am sure that it will do fine.. although run 2 of those will cost like $60+.. [:@]

Oh well, at least unlike Clod, you don't have to worry about reversing the timing on one of the motors...

I'm thinking of trying dual dirt tuned motors in the TXT-1 to see how id do.

Just scored a brand new Makita Li-Ion charger on eBay for $46.99 shipped. It's a $140 charger, I am psyched, mine broke earlier this week.

Can you use your RC charger to do those? I mean, Li-Po is Li-Po, right? Or regular chargers don't go up to 18V?

How did you break yours?!

The battery has ten Li-Ion cells and my charger goes to 9 cells. There is also some special chip in the battery that only allows the Makita charger to charge it.

Mine just stopped working, no longer charging or anything, totally dead. Something happened to the electronics. I checked for a fuse, found none.

DOH... usually you don't see the charger go bad..

No warranty, eh?!

I went to HomeDepot the other day, and see a few of their power tools are now offering life time warranty.. (Rigid is the brand, I think?)

Interesting....

I don't see if it offers anything more than the Kimbrough.. I guess you can probably use stiffer setup w/ this thing.. but other than that, it is not like it is doing anything new...

I think that would be great for a scale truck, so you didn't have the unsightly servo saver... Otherwise, It's just another option part!
