Yeah that's a pretty nice setup. There's a few things I would have changed (Intel processor and more RAM) but that setup should keep you going for a while, and it will play movies and music with ease. You can do some lighter gaming too.

Looks fine, I'm weary off case PSUs though, but its unlikely you'll run into any problems. If you upgrade to a really beefy video card down the line consider replacing the power supply as well.

Thanks everyone. I doubt I will play any games besides Flight Simulator X since it was free in the deal.
My current computer has 126MB of RAM so 2G is a huge upgrade for me. And my current drive can't write to these newer blanks and I bought LightScribe blanks not knowing what they were so I chose that drive to use them with.
I can't wait...[>:]

good luck with that man, fsx still needs some graphics, you might be able to play it but doubt it, should of picked up a good vid card for around 30-50 bucks, may not have been the best but would do the job a lot better, and if you do any vid editing it would help in that area to.
nice overall to see you getting a new pc tho.

I have a 350watt psu , and yep, its pci e. But if I get like an EVGA 8800, my cpu wouldnt be able to handle the kinds of games that the gpu could handle right?

RE: My new PC (finally)
Your CPU would be able to handle it no problem it's dual core.. Your power supply is another issue.. Many of those high end cards need minimum 400watt power supply to be able to function without issue.

With a 350Watt power supply you just have to shop a bit more carefully. Avoid cards with big beefy fans for one! they most certainly need a min 400watt power supply. There are quite a few 8600GT cards that will run on 300watt power supplies, There are some 9500 and 9600 cards that will run on 350 watts, but you'll be pushing your luck.
What card do you have now?
