RE: "trends" in then out
This thread is awesome!!! I have so many new comments to make.
1. I had some crazybones. I thought of them when I thought of pokemon for this thread but I forgot what they were called. All I know is I always thought they were cool and pokemon was more of a "fit in" kind of thing.
2. A.B.U you're right. My dad and I were in radio shack a while ago and I mentioned to him, haven't walkie talkies become extinct over time? We agreed that they don't serve much purpose now days except two things, child play and no reception like military or whatnot. Cell phones have killed the market for the real ones.
3. Yeah people walking in front of your car texting is ridiculous. Good thing I got an awooga horn from Harbor Freight today! (No joke, I did, not because of this thread though).

Beanie Babies are out? Beanie Babies have always been awesome. A great product, and the way they were marketed was brilliant. I shake my head at some of the other fads more than I do these. They even come with a little poem.

I remember when we were embarraced for wearing converse shoes because they were like $5.00 and Keds cost more.
I used to have a pager and hated the thing. People would rather page me than call to see if I was at home (which was almost never but still...)

yeah susie needs 1000minuts to chat mommy and elmo and friends....
i hate the abuse of cell phones, text text text text text bla bla bla bla blabbity blaaa! listen people, the world is happening all around you, and you have to stand there in your own secluded world and talk and text to people, i mean, it gets so bad, that people will walk out in front of a speeding car in the parking lot on there cell phone, almost get pegged and then dont even turn around to see their almost sudden death!
i hate cell phones as much as i hate pokemon!

Black clothing isn't a trend [:@]
I have noticed a lot of people dressing like 80's rejects - venetian blinds sunglasses, neon color clothing... I hated the 80's the first time (when I lived through it) and the other 3 times it became trendy [:'(]

if not for herpies and aids the free love ideals of the hippies sound pretty fun to me, I barely got in on the expressive love of the 80s until herpies and aids ruined all the good casual sex

Holes ripped in pants and then the store charging 230 dollars for it. I was in the mall today and I just started cracking up laughing. Who would buy a pair of pants for 230 dollars.....
