That is sad. I watched him on the show "Pitchmen" and he seemed like a really good guy with a big heart. A sad day for his friends and family.

Wow, I will never forget being over at some relatives house and re-enacting the "oxy clean" commercial.... ya, will miss the guy. Loved the show Pitch Men, sure is funny, I think he will be a pitching icon everyone will miss

He will be missed. There are some really funny YTP videos on youtube that were made using his commercials. Great guy, although when he chummed the shark infested waters that Anthony Sullivan was swimming in during an episode of Pitchmen, that was a bit "cold hearted" if you will. Seems like alot of people think that he may have hit his head when that plane he was on blew out the front tires on landing.

I know its been since last weekend that Billy's death has been out, but I have been kind of under a rock for the past few days.
When I heard that Billy had dies, I was actually shocked to hear it. I remember sleepless nights during which I would have the TV on and Billy Mays info-mercials would show. From Kaboom! to all sorts of other gadgety products, he sold each one with the very same gusto. Back then, I totally took him for granted. Now that he is gone, I actually reminence back to those sleepless info-mercial nights and actually miss them.

I tell you, I have had some serous doozies of sleepless nights before. Mostly from stress before a mid-term or final, and to keep me going, even to cram through the night, surprisingly, Billy Mays info-mercials saw me through. It's kind of ironic, even though I did not pay a lick of attention to what Billy might have been trying to sell, it was his voice and excitement that actually kept me going and focused on whatever I was studying.
Of course, after finals, I would literally crash and sleep like a rock. No matter how loud Billy Mays or Tony Little (or other yelling info-mercial guys) were on TV at that point in time, I will not wake up.
