I never thought I'd see the day where we're posting about our lawn mowers on RCU. Hehehe.
For what its' worth, I have a 10 year old Toro 6.0 HP GTS. Sounds fancy....but it's just a lawn mower. Been very reliable over 10 yrs though, and it starts like a champ.
I remember mowing my parents' lawn when I was a kid, and the mower we had was a royal pain to start. I always had trouble with that thing....

HONDUH!! VTEC just kicked in my lawnmower yo.
Does it have a spoiler and shiny wheels? You know with an intake and exhaust you can get an extra like, 0.3 hp. AT THE WHEELS!
:P
PWNED! Oh, wait, I own a honda... DOH!

So far, so good!!

I have a Craftsman rider with a 20hp V-Twin and a old Snapper self-propelled push mower (RWD) with a 6hp Briggs and Stratton. Now if someone could just tell me where to find a weedeater that will last more than 2 years for less than 200 bucks, I'd be set.
PS- Honda should make a riding mower with V-Tec. 16hp until the V-Tec kicks in, then it bumps it up to 18hp. Yeehaw! Foxy would buy one.

I think I've had mine done twice in 10 years. LOL It's on my to-do list by the end of this season (I'll be doing it myself for a change, along with the plug, and sharpening the blade). I mean to do that stuff yearly, but never get around to it....

Not my pictures.
John Deere Z-Track 737:

Its a fast zero turn mower and its my favourite colour.
Steiner 420:

A hydraulic 4x4 articulating beast. Not that great for cutting grass but I have a sweet hydraulic blade for it. Power lift and swivel!

Well, after the first cut or 2, you are supposed to change the oil for "break in".. then I did it again after 5x or so.. then once before (or after?) the winter.. and then once awhile ago..
LOL!!
Next thing you know, I will fill it w/ the Mobil 1 0-40W... (okay, not..)

LOL. I have more mowers and lawn equip than any man needs.
And it's all for free!
Most people throw out stuff that don't run and 99% of the time it's just a festered carb.
I have -
3 riders MTD, Craftsman, John Deere (Craftsman 18.5 HP converted to homemade snowplow)
3 pushmowers MTD, Craftsman, and ???
4 weed eaters IDC, Weed Eater, Craftsman 4-stroke, and ???
3 snowblowers Craftsman, ???, and ???
1 chainsaw Craftsman
Echo! FTW!!!
It's gonna be a little more than $200 prolly, but if you take care if it will last a lifetime and it will pay for itself in less than 5 years.
(VS buying a new one every couple years)

Not really.

Got a crusty old Rover 4-stroke that someone gave me a couple of years ago.
Had been sitting in a shed for about 6 years when I got it.
I took it to a local backyard lawnmower fixer bloke, and he replaced the primer bubble and a gasket.
Never missed a beat since.
Might take a photo of it later.
Also have a Stihl 45cc weedwacker on indefinite loan from my girlfriend's dad.
One of those sissy bent shaft ones.
Goes ok though.
Hardly ever need to mow here anyway as it hasn't rained for months.
Which is good.
