I was reading a post about where have all the builders gone and got to thinking about why and how I started building. I think its an extension of my need to build. I have been collecting woodworking tools for years. I also work with leather and build scale models of ships and stage coaches. I don't know If I started building because of the need to build or to fly not sure which came first. Now after forty years, I have a large collection of wood working tools. From major tools like band saws and table saws to carving tools. Building airplanes opened up a whole new arena of tools. I have a friend who builds large scale. I think he has more tools then I do. I know for a fact that he has at least six Dremels. I have another friend who is heavy into photography. He must own at least four Hasselblad cameras. once when visiting him I told him I was looking at a new Nikon underwater cameras and showed him the ad in a magazine.
