Default 72" Somenzini Yak-54 -engine question

i just receive my new Somenzini Yak-54

my first choice of engine is the MOKI180 but i want to try my Supercharged OS FP-120 on the plane.

Well, If you really want someone's 2 cents here we go. That Yak is an 11 pound bird. In the same weight range as the GS540. It has higher wing loading. In order to fully 3 D the the GS540 it will take a 18 X 6 or 8 prop with the ability to swing 10 or 11 K. I don't think that engine will do that. On Somenzini web site his engine of choice is the YS 140. I would not want anything less than a 140. If we are talking saito I would want the 180. If you are buying the Yak for pattern stuff and you are not concerned with all out 3D you will get enough thrust out of that engine to fly the plane. As far as the the moki guys at our club are using the 2.10 in their GP Patties. Not sure I would want the 1.8. A 2 stroker will have to take it from here.
