I ordered AFPD about 10 days ago using PayPal - while I got notice of the purchase messages from PayPal, I received no receipts from OMP - I have sent messages to sales using the email addresses posted on the OMP site, but no response. How do I go about checking the shipment status of my purchase - is there a phone number I can call? I have sent email messages to "[email protected]" and "[email protected]" as well as asking for status as part of another thread in this forum (Shipping Time). I have not received anything from any of my attempts to obtain information on my purchase. Anything else I can try?

don could you update us? did any one anser your questions? I would like to know about my order as well, i dont like wating fore something that isnt going to show up like we would expect like a product or an anser to a question.
The OMP website said in stalk wen i orderd mine "afpd usb" on thersday the 28th then i looked at the web site on the 1st and it says" APPROX. SHIPPING JAN 31 ORDER NOW!" do thay ship on sunday? when do thay update the web site? its past the 31st souldnt thay up date ther site?

AFPD was on backorder, they did ship/or will be shipping soon, thought i'd pass this info on. I'd bet they are overwhelmed at this point, just be patient and you will be simming soon.

With "free shipping" being UPS (Ground, I assume), I don't expect my order to arrive until late next week. I did ask why they didn't inform me of the back order status and they said that they didn't have that capability yet and they were planning on updating the website next month to provide that ability.
So...I guess we wait and if I don't get the product next week, I send another email to get an updated shipping status.

I would not gave OMP $170 if thay didnt have a product to sale. like thay say supply and demand but thay dont have any supply.
I would have gone elsware fore supply not OMP. how about a full refund?

Please be patient? Read what Luftman posted. This is a matter you should be taking up with OMP. And it does not belong in the Ikarus support forums. Please give the guys from OMP a fair chance to get back to all your emails as well. I noticed that last 4 posts were made not far behind each other and maybe waiting 24 hours would help. Even if I have troubles with orders from Tower Hobbies I need to wait a couple of days at least to give them a fair chance to get back to me. Please post in the OMP support forums or could we maybe ask the moderators to move this thread over there?

A couple of things...
First of all, you are quite correct - I posted my original question on the shipment status of my copy of AFPD from OMP in the incorrect forum - I made a mistake and was under the impression that this was the "official" support forum for AFPD purchased from OMP. For this, I offer my most humble apologies.
Secondly, in all fairness to myself, my original issue was valid (and will be readdressed in the proper forum). I ordered my AFPD several weeks ago from the OMP website. Upon completion of that order, I received the appropriate receipt from PayPal indicating that the purchase and appropriate funds were transferred to cover the purchase. I received nothing for OMP - no email receipt, no shipping status, nothing.
No a huge deal - after being patient for a week (grin), I emailed OMP requesting status of my order. No response to the first attempt. Again, being patient, I emailed again after three days and that was when I received the one-liner from "John" indicating that the AFPD was on "backorder". I was a little chagrinned to not be previously notified that there would be a delay in receipt of my order...not real good business practice in the Internet age.
For the record, I continue to be patient and am hoping that I will receive my order next week - I am looking forward to exploring this product. I am a RealFlight G2 reject after having a lot of issue with that product (for fun, feel free to check out my eBay auction. You have to search for the ad number while on eBay (5748636377) since this forum does not allow links to eBay sale items (understandable).
Anyway - thanks for your message and I await the arrival of AFPD with much anticipation!

The AFPD Sims are extremely popular and very often we may have dozens in stock and literally sell out within 24 hours. It's impossible to keep the website up to date with that kind of turnover. We have new sims coming in as quick as Ikarus can make them in Germany and will fill all customer orders sequentially first come first served. Trust me in that nobody is getting put on the back burner and everyone gets treated fairly.

Don, we go by what Ikarus tells us on shipping quotas but sometimes even those get delayed. Remember everything that comes from overseas goes through customs and none of us have control over that timeline. All I can tell you is that we have been told to expect a deliver this next week. As soon as yours gets packed for shipping a UPS email will be generated and sent to you.

It will do no good to call those numbers. There is "no answer" whether calling Ohio or the regional office in St. Louis. I received an email from John today stating they will receive them next Monday or Tuesday. I wish I would have found this thread earlier.

I want to get my copy of AFPD just as bad as anyone else, but lets have a little patience here. As has been stated before in this thread there are a few things that are out of OMP's control, customs being a huge one. I haven't heard a peep from OMP, but by being on this forum, I know that I need not worry and as soon as the shipment comes in they will ship out my copy. Not only that, I'm sure that someone from OMP will post here on this forum that they are in, and being shipped out.
From everything that I have read I'm sure that it will be well worth the wait.

Actually we do have some Commanders coming this week, but they won't even come close to filling the backorders.

Congrats for those who received their "now shipping" email. Unfortunately, I did not receive such an email which is quite frustrating to say the least. It was said there were copies coming in and you were right. I was also told that I would receive one. Obviously this was wrong. The thing is, I had a copy ordered from someone else and cancelled the order since your website deceived me into thinking you had some.
I guess my question boils down to this: Are all your copies that you just received now gone? If so, what's the ETA for the rest of us that are still on the waiting list?

All backordered sims are leaving today and tomorrow. We have many more in stock surplus as well.
If you ordered online you will get a tracking number when it processes.
