Default E-flite P-47D with Flaps and Retracts

This video is the complete Unboxing, Review, Build, and Maiden Flight for the new E-flite P-47 Thunderbolt BNF Basic with AS3X Technology. This is pretty much the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt version of the E-flite P-51 Mustang Dallas Doll that so many in the RC community have been excited about since its release last Fall. That one was modeled after one of the most famous WWII Warbirds in history, the North American P-51 Mustang.

Here are my review notes:

Cons:

- I had to replace the motor before I could fly it
- The hatch design is a step backward from the Dallas Doll Mustang
- The velcro that secures the battery ripped before the first flight

Pros:

- It has a beautiful finish
- Very easy build and radio set-up in my Spektrum DX6
- Retracts and flaps installed
- Its wide stance helps make landings easier

Here is the complete review:

Awesome mate, but why have you put this in 5 different sub forums, ARF or RTF, Rc scale aircraft, Warbirds and warplanes, user product review and this one don't you think one is enough

I had to give you something to do on your Saturday morning and to provide you with an opportunity to show off your hall monitoring skills.

In all seriousness, it fits all of those categories, therefore it made sense to post it in those places.

I am ordering the Checkered Board Cowling for my Snorting Bull version and plan to install invasion stripes on my Snorting Bull.

I already have a better 4-Blade propeller from the Durafly 1100mm P-51D Mustang so, no need for the E-Flite.

GB, YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN! Thanks for your posting work. I tried to convince myself that my older great flying belly landing P-47 was all I needed but just couldn't resist this updated P-47 version.

Flies great, looks really great and I couldn't be happier with it. I love the special 12 inch four bladed prop originally designed for use with my "Dallas Doll" with its bold white tips on the black prop. Like the "Doll" she pulls straight up with the throttle setting just above half pulling around 30 amps through its carefully ventilated 40 amp ESC. If I can just get over wanting to admire it all the time maybe I will be able to fly it enough to get the needed practice for comfortable flying demonstrations.

Gotta get back in the fight.

Out.
