So I bought a 3mm collet prop adapter to use the APC props with the GWS motors. I cut off the threaded portion leaving a 1/4" or so solid shaft to attatch the adapter to as recommended by himaxx (its thier gearbox) The thing is though I can figure out how to get it tight on the shaft. It has a slit on the end so I'm assuming theres a way to tighten it up, but how? Theres no threads anywhere and theres no set screw. I also can't get the collett off the hub so I can't even understand how to get the prop on. I'd of thought there'd be some kind of instructions with this thing. Someone please help!

Most are a front hub that screws down on the threads of the adaptor shaft, which in turn tightens the collet. Is there a hole in the front hub? If so you'll need to insert a small screwdriver or allen wrench through the hole, hold the back of the adaptor in a padded vise/pliers, and unscrew the hub off. The collet may be stuck to the shaft, just a little wiggling and it should loosen up. Slide the adapter and collet on the output shaft you cut off, install your prop, and reinstall the front hub and tighten if firmly. Should be good to go.

Some pics here ! : http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_26...tm.htm#2681233
If you look at second pic the collet goes back towards the thread you then fit your drive shaft into the hole on the adapter !
the collet the goes back up the adapter as the nut is tightened gripping itself to the drive shaft !!!
