RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan
UPDATE:
Brought her out to fly this evening before the sun went down and she flew great with the 3 new efite servos installed. I received 2 new digital servos from parkzone today and after my flight I cam home an plugged them in just to see if it was originally 3 bad servos, but I got the same result as before with glitches and the motor firing up ever few seconds. I called Horizon to let them know, they said that there might be a possibility of the servos and futaba receiver not liking one another. That sounds odd to me. BUT I am happy it works now without problems. Hope this info helps someone else out with a similar problem.
Has any one looked at adding some rocket pods, bombs or missiles to theirs? If so where is a good resource on guides on how to build them to scale or in general?
Thanks,
-Kassun

Here is a great cheap decent quality picture. Just remove it from the strap (unclip it) and place it on the airplane. It will record over 30 minutes and its CHEAP.

HI there I just purshaced the trojan and well love it. Question for you guys, I also purchased a master airscrew 9x7 three blade prop and was wonder if someone could tell me which prop adapter I need to mount this. It doesn't fit over the adapter which came with the trojan. If you guys could help me out please. Thanks.

A prop reamer can be used to make the hole the proper size. See your LHS. Or use a drill. If the hole is too big already then you can get adapters that fit in the prop hole. I'd use caution with the three blade prop however. I wanted to buy one too but I was too concerned about damage to the motor or esc. I don't have a meter to check out the draw the three blade prop would be putting on the electronics. I watched a guy helping another modeler at the field a few weeks ago. He had a meter and you would be amazed at the difference a small size change can make in AMP draw. I think the stock ESC is pretty borderline to begin with. Did you get a prop for electrics? If you got one intended for gas motors it's going to be heavy and draw even more amps. Let us know if it works out. I still want to get one, even if it's just for show and I put the stock prop back on for flight.

I put my T-28 on the power meter with stock esc, prop, and 3s 11v lipo pack. System was drawing around 19-20 amps at WOT.

Here are some pics of my t-28, I started to add in some pannel lines for detailing the model. I am using a HB pencil and will use a light grey marker for the final lines.n

Does anyone know what motor shaft fits the included motor? The specs say is a 480, but the shaft looks different than the 480 shafts on e-flite's site. It is an e-flite motor, no?
Thanks
Thanks

IceJay,
Cool vid. Can the camera be rotated to show a forward view? I think that would look good with a cowl shot looking through the prop disc. Good thing you fly electric and not nitros. You'd have some very irritated neighbors.

A water baced paint like Krylon Fusion and H2o will work fine. I used fusion on my paint earlier in the thread, here's the links below.

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan
Bigtone, I had seen that post but since neither of those two shafts appear to be the right one I was hoping someone here had reached a more definitive answer. I have an e-mail in to Parkzone, hopefully they reply with some good news.
My right aileron servo stripped in flight. I'm sure someone with more experience might have been able to save it. However, with me at the controls, it ended in a ugly way.
Thanks

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan
I called and the service rep told me I have to buy a new motor. There is no replacement shaft. They also won't tell me who makes the motor for them. They tried to tell me it was an e-flite park 480. Well I have a Brio with a park 480 in it and a mini pulse with a park 450 and it is substantially bigger. Kind of upsets me that the support is so poor for this outrunner motor. The shaft comes out very easily. Guess I will have to remove it, put a micrometer on it, and go to one of the Chinese web pages to find a new shaft. Guees maybe I won't be buying products from them again.!!!

Hi Bigtone,
Did you find out if the problem on your T-28 was the motor or ESC (or both)? Did Horizon cover it under warrenty?
