Thanks again Doug. I'll let the guys try her at the coal mine. Scott will have to put up a damage deposit. AJ 804mm ws. I'd put into inches for you but that wouldn't sound so impressive then. AUW 21oz @ 180 watts. Flying loops around the allied guys should be fun fun fun.

hey DJ, good vid, i enjoyed it.

wind is forcast for 10-15mph today, but no rain and at 4.40am it's calm outside, so a possible flying day. i wanted to try the pnp f15 d/f today with it's undercarriage on to see if it will take off, but i wanted a dry field so i'll have to leave it. i'll have to wait till a bit later to see how the wind is, but planning to take the small kyosho f16, fantom d/f (now 450 watts on 4s), gws p40, twinjet, maybe the formosa 2 or the multiplex twinstar, plus anything else that fits.

Sray,

That sure is a beauty, but I would not let any of these guys fly it without a damage deposit.

They Only had one Stuka left, better hurry.

I wasn't going to mention the F-14 this time, but what a lot of work it has been for a foamy, Whew, I am tired of sanding, and priming etc. I need to fly this beast before it gets too pretty, and I will be affraid to

Hi Lou, cute jokes.

OK, Time for my V & OJ

Found it Mac. The one Doug sent me is an AK models. Nitro is now the maker. Same plane.

http://www.nitroplanes.com/pispbiarfelr.html

Center of Gravity: 32mm from the LE on the top wing at the fuselage.

Can you explain that to me. Does that mean balance it from the center of the upper wing, 32mm back? Or above the sides of the fuse?

Rob most excellent to hear you got it flying so well
I don't recall using the phrase (shotty) just trying to save you some headaches and unwanted time in the water

SRay that's basicaly the same size of the Ultimate you have been sitting on for almost a year now. I hope you have been keeping it dusted off
I would suggest very small throws, it will prob be a real handfull, but then again it only has 2 ailerons so it might be fairly stable
Good Luck with the maiden, get some vid if you can

Scott,
Have a Greaaaat time.

Sray,
Stuff a Zero sticker on that beauty of a Pitts and it's a goner. Go GG go.

Rob,
Fab job. Must be feeling mighty satisfied with the outcome.

Thanks all for the float info. Book marked the Q&A page for my Cub. Too large for GG's pond but may give it a go anyway. Have another float plane that is on the large side I'd like to try also.

Good luck Dougie. We're pullin for ya.

AJ,
Just need my HC order to have a few RTF. Ran into some trouble with my servo making. Besrturd at DymondRC sent the wrong stuff...again. Fortunately I have some from the 1st HC order that worked out well.

Tonight is Lindsay's 1st School Open House and she wants me to go. Spent yesterday cutting a few dozen roses from the front yard for her room. I'd have cut more except I needed long stems.

Spent another couple of hours arranging them into 4 Antique vases. Nice American Brilliant Cut Glass. I used one made in 1860 and the other 3 are just over 100 years old. Fab glass. Looks like cut diamonds in good light.

Oh, and get to hang out with Conner. Do some guy stuff.

Ray, I see the new guy in charge at Hobby Lobby is Jay Graves, any relation to your LHS Graves?

Oh and I also see H/L is taking a beating right now, raised prices on the Alfa birds by up to 40%. Supposed to be the euro vs dollar rate, per H/L and Alfa.

Oh and Ray, Don't know why I'm doing this but, when you do set the CG, set it nose heavy.
Nitro is notorious for having the wrong CG locations on their birds.

Give me a minute, I'll look up my Camel, should show how the CG was measured on it, should be the same way on the Ultimate.

i think i'll buy this yak 55 .25 sized. it's so chaep at $94 plus $10 shipping as Aircraft are in Japan. http://www.aircraft-world.com/shopexd.asp?id=4680 just got room to fit it in the new shed along with the other .25 sized planes. now i'm waiting until the end of the year or whenever the .25 helios is reduced to $100 from $180. i've learnt to wait for hyperion planes and not buy them as soon as they come out

Ray, Ok on the Camel, CG is measured with plane upright, not like setting up a single wing where you do it upside down. Close to the fuselage as possible.

Scott,
I shaved and broke out the Zoot Suit.

DJ,
I be handsome.

GG,
I got the same type off response from a Fub dealer in Hong Kong. Needed a couple of plane gyros. Price went up from $130 for one to almost $145 if I bought 3. I just found one on ebay for $129 so I got that one this morning. Came to $151 with shipping and ins.

I'll get just one more and just swap from plane to plane.
