I've been flying profiles for about 6 months, after watching one of our club members doing his 3D thing, I just had to try it!!!
My first Fazer somehow broke its wing in a low inverted harrier, about 2 feet off the deck, oops.
My next try was a Top Cap, snapped in two after a tumble, floating into the wind, wind died, oops.
Next was my new Fazer, tried a snap roll 10 feet off the deck, forgot to switch to high rates!
That ticked me off! Went to my LHS and picked up the Goldberg Extreme 330 and the 540, with a new Saito 72 for each one.
I'll have them flying as soon as the weather gives us a break here in Michigan.
I can't wait!!!

Wow, do you need a new best friend?
Hey, if you need some help, you could send that 540 and one of those Saitos to me. I coud get it all set up and ready to go, fly it a while and then bring it to Houston so all the guys could violate her good. If it survives it'll know every trick in the book, and it can teach you what to do with the sticks!!!

Yeah Gator, I dropped a buck or two! That's how I ended up with so many planes, slam one, buy two!!!
I have this bad habit of getting a good deal on a motor, than all of a sudden, I have to get a new bird to put it in. Funny how that happens.
Sweet idea, Gordo. Let's do it!!! When I get it back all I'll have to do is sit back and watch, it'll already know all the tricks!!! LMAO!
Thanks for the offer! You sure your not already one of my friends from my club?

please let us know about that 540....... I can tell you that the 330 is a great plane- I love mine- they are tough too- I cartwheeled mine across a parking lot and picked it up and flew again! I didn't even beak a prop....... to me that says a lot-
I have the 540 ready to go but can't find the cajones to fly it after all the bad reviews on here- I just bought a Morris the Knife and am thinking that it will blow the 540 out of the air- one of these days I'll test that damn 540..... I'm a little apprehensive due to the CG issues that everone seems to be having- the range has now gone from3.75-6.00"- that's a big range- and I have heard people saying that they flew great at 6" and some that swear the thing has to be at less than 4"- I don't think this plane is worth the $ looking back on it- it seems like a poorly planned arf- it should be lighter and the fuse should be a bit shorter IMO- I don't know why they put all that damn ply sheeting all the way down the fuse..... but maybe that is what is holding my 330 together after I cartwheeled it and dorked it a bunch-

Hi Alex,
No really, tell me what you really think!!
LOL
I have been your posts on the other thread and am wondering some of the very same things.
If it were me, I'd set the CG at about 5" and fly it! That's what I'm going to do with mine, then change it to suit my taste. With all of that control surface and chord length an inch one way or the other should still allow the plane to be controlled.
If you were closer to me I'd fly it for you and if something went wrong I'd give you mine!!!!
You've gotta fly it, you just gotta!

Hey Lancelow,
I fly with Radio Control Club of Detroit and Fraser Flying Club.
Check the website at http://www.rccd.org
You can find directions there. We have a great field with about a 1200 ft. grass strip.
If you go to the site, I'm on the gallery with my 1/5 scale Gee Bee Z.
It's a great club but it's a long drive from Walled Lake. I did a job in Wixom and one in South Lyon, a long drive every day!

ok guys....... I'll submit to all the peer pressure and fly it- if there's a day this week that's suitable- the weather has been for crap around here and I've only flown 2x in the last 2 weeks- I should have tested it on sunday but I only had a limited amount of time and so I took my 330 ---- I'll try it just as it is with the cg at 5-1/4"- you guys are encouraging ! thanks for the push!
