My friend and I are planning to arrive in Madison Friday Afternoon and were staying until Saturday Evening. I was wondering if there were any activities Friday? Will we need a Metro Park Permit?

The only activities I know of are some flying in Memphis Friday.... You're welcome to join us in Mempho if you like... Billy may have some stuff setup for Friday in Nashville.

You only need a Permit if you live in Davidson or any of the surrounding counties that touch it.
This permit thing goes back to the mid-80's and a modeler with poor judgement intentionally flying over a citizen who complained about the noise's house down at Cane Ridge Park. It blew up into such a pissing contest that Metro instituted this ridiculous permit requirement.
When I was a member of the MCA club, I never got a permit because I was so anti-regulatory.
