Magic - pull - pull is very stiff - help

Magic Fans,
Just got a new Magic. The Magic comes with a pull pull system for the rudder and elevator. My opinion is that the supplied wires cause a lot of friction and specifically on the elevator I think there must be a better solution.
Did you make the same experience and if, how did you solve this?

be exiting through the stab, to match the contour of the guide tube.
I then bent it back, ever so slightly, to point at the control horn.
The result, if I pull the wire out, is a *very* relaxed looking "s" shape, near the tail.
This served to make for extremely smooth operation of the system.
Mine works perfectly. I suppose the argument could be made that my bend could be
straightening out under a heavy load, but I can't see/feel it happening.
The wire "pushing" from below is also helping matters immensely.
(So much that the thing MIGHT fly with the upper rod disconnected, though I hope to never test that.)
I'm sure that the supplied rods offer far more resistance than regular cables would,
but I'm flying a normal 4.8v, 600mah pack, and am still getting my normal amount of flights.
I haven't experienced any binding, or servo-stalling issues at all.
I'm sure the pull-pull purists will say to throw the rods away and use cables instead

Could be friction, could be "Ackerman"
Try moving the rods with the servo horn OFF of the servo, if they move free but bind when the horn in on the servo it may be "Ackerman"

I should have mentioned that the Magic is a not a pull/pull in the usual sense since it uses rods and not wires. On a pull/pull you should have the holes in the control horns SLIGHTLY aft of the hinge line. On the Magic the wires are stiff and won't go slack so make sure the holes in the control horns are EXACTLY on the hinge line.
The Ackerman problem is most noticable on large throws.

Hello-I would highly recommend pitching the wire that is furnished with the airplane and use cable. I used the cable from a Dave brown pull pull set up for a 40 size model on the rudder/elevator and it works excellent with no resistance at all, hope this helps. Ricky
