Default Knife Construction

I was out flying with a buddy and his knife had an un fortunate encounter with the ground.... So I told him I'd build a fuse for him.... It's all framed up.... I've found that the best "balm" for soothing the wounded ego after a crash is to start buildin'!!!!

Default Aeron?

Paul, you are obviously like Jeff Williams in IN. I visited him a few weeks ago. I was amazed to see in his shop that he had so many airplanes started though not finished. It sounds like you have numerous projects under way including the Aeron.
I try a stick with one project at a time, though not always sucessful

This is the first time I've had so many planes in the bones.... I just hate covering.... but I'm getting better at it... and it's getting more fun... I'm going to have to move my covering indoors now... it's too cold in the garage to get good shrink on the monokote anymore...

Man, thats quick, I just crashed it on Thursday.

I have the best wife in the world. I came home and told my wife that I demolished another airplane. 2 in 2 weeks. She said that Well, I hope you can find somebody to build you another one. She said you not going to mess the house up for the holidays.

It doesn't matter how many planes that I have, it just matters that I don't mess up the house. (Thats sweet)

She says that because, I don't have a decidated place to build, and I have to build it in our study. With my odd hours and days at works it take me about 2 months to complete a profile.

I like building, but I just don't have a place to do it.

Paul I acutally have the same plane on the board. and in bones also. my bones weight came out the same. did you do anything to reinforce the wing in the center? and did you join the wing and fues yet or will you do that after you cover the fuse?
can I see a photo of the botom of the wing?

Paul, glad to see you are getting a scratch built knife about framed. You will love that plane. Mike Grambling nice pictures but what is the airplane doing, it is so high it is hard to tell. OK enough harassment, great to see that knife flying again but I forgot to tell you, it will break if you hit terra firma. My scratch built knife has been setting 1/3 covered for four months. Sledge stuff kept getting in the way. Kevin, did see three projects going. It is the way I do stuff, get to a section where something needs to dry or waiting for a part, you got something else to work on. It is just my way, but I do get them done, in the last two years I have built 10 profiles and then figure in repairs. Jeff W.

I used a 1/4 sq balsa dihedrial brace in the center of the wing.... I didn't add the fiberglass tape. Normally, I would cover the fuse before joining to the wing.... But the guy this is for wanted it joined.... I'll post a pic of the bottom of the wing tonight...

Jeff... I wish this one was for me.. But Mike stuffed your old knife and so I told him I'd build him a fuse... turns out he wants the whole thing.....

However... I liked the build on this one sooo much, I'm gonna build me one.... Right after I build my sledge Or then again... maybe while I build my sledge.... I sorta build like you... A little here... a little there.... But always progress.....

Jeff,
I was getting upclose and personnal on hovering w/ the knife, and that is what it crashed.

This is the second plane Paul has built for me, in less than 1 month. If this keeps up, if I owned or managed my own business I would put Paul on the payroll.LOL

Paul, if your still offering I will take the Krazylegs for the knife to.

Hey, while you're hiring I too would like a job with your company. I'm sure working from home would be fine with you. Where do I send my health care stuff? Ulf also told me he wants to hire on.

I won't be able to pick it up until next week. Going out of town this weekend. So I should be able to pick it up on Wednes or Thursday of next week. Unless when you get it done, drop is off at hobby shop in Millington, then I can pick it up sooner.
