Hi William
The servo bay for the throttle servo is for a micro mini servo. Which servo so you use for the throttle. An HS81 is too big. Will a HS55 work OK? I was concerned about an HS55 lasting with the vibrations from the YS63. What have the rest of you guys used?
Thanks, Don

I uses a hitec 55 on magnum 70 4 stroke BB. and i have over 50 flights with no problems!!! and i know william uses the 55 on his ys 63 with no problems so don't worry about using a 55!!

Im using a 55 on mine too, I was dubioius at first but it works just fine an like Mikey said William has a boatload of time with his on a ys 63 an it held up fine. If you want just enlarge the hole an drop in an 81.

Thanks Gentlemen. Hooks, I was concerned about cutting away the material as it looks like heavy support ply on the rear edge of the fuse. I have a couple of HS81's and I would rather use what I have as long as it won't weaken the fuse. What are your thoughts?

You are fine opening up the hole, just open it to the rear and either direction up or down is fine.

Alot of people have been nervous about using the 55s. My plane had over 200 flights and now the servo is in the new plane and still fine.

when i enlarged the hole for mine toward the back there is an ample amout of hard wood behind it as well. I actually epoxied some small blocks under the servos mounting holes so that i could open up the hole big enough that the wire would not be crimped, but still have some solid wood to screw into. It also flushed the back of the servo up with the fuse so it looks nice as well.

Basement sorry for throwing in a Q on your thread but I'm curious what pushrods the guys are using on the HS-55's? Do you guys also use a thinner piano wire to reduce vibration transfer?

On the YS you cannot use the stock CF rod. I use soft 2-56 rod on mine.
