Default High Altitude Solution !!

Hey Planebender re powered a magic with an OS 91 4 cyl. Same weight as an OS 61 FX. Talk about something that will torque roll. mounted the 91 4 cyl. rebalanced to 5" back from LE. Only added 14oz. more than Magic with Os 46 FX. Calculated the wing loading and it is still under 18oz. per sq." 17.58 Magic Now hovers at just above 1/4 throttle with the OS 91 and APC 15/4W.
What a kick in the pants this thing it unreal !!!

That will bw PLENTY. I live in the mile hight city and I am running a Evolution 46. It will hover at about 1/3 throttle. it flies hands off at about 1/4 throttle. Maybe less. great airplanes.

hi guys, my son lee flys for yt international, the uk distributer for mod tech, he uses the os46, apc11.5x4 prop, weston uk throttle pipe, you really should take a lookat these as a matter of interest with the blessing of yt int, we took a magic, copied it, took away 1/3 of the weight, fitted a os32sx, weston pipe, and went and won 2 firsts, 1second, and a third, in the british model nats, we knew the basic magic was superb, but you should see these, weight is 3lbs all up, there is no plans for production of these specials, but we just had to call it the magic light an amazing thing, all our servos, by the way,on the kit one, and the specials are standard 3001, apart from a mini on the throttle we use cable closed loop ,instead of the wire push pull happy flying in 2004 guys

I just sold mine this week. Had a Thunder Tiger .46 in it with 12x4 apc prop. Stock muffler. It went straight up out of site and fast. Great flat spins. I had to make room for new projects so it ended up getting sold at the end of the flying day this week to another club member. I think any decent .46 will hover the magic easily.

Mine had a TT42GP with Mouse Can pipe and it was the BOMB. Ive flown most combo's with the heavier 46's and fourstrokes......and none of them compare to the raw agility of the lighter powered Magics. If you want true funfly performance keep it light, fast on the servos (720Mah Nimh 5 cell 6v pack) and you'll be extremely pleased....trust me

Mine hovered at half throttle and pulled out HARD with an APC 11x4.
