From: gainesville, FL,
I've been using futaba 148's in my funflys for a few years now and something has always bugged me but never presented a problem the servos show about a .5mm of slop inherant in the gears this translates to almost 1-1.5 degrees of slop in the surface i never have experenced flutter in my planes even in some unexpected higher than normal speed dives
But I am just wondering about the affects this slop is having on my planes flight does anyone else's servos have this and if you did you continue flying?
is it time for new gears or new servos?

That slop is there in most of the lower end servos. Does it matter on a .40 sized fun-fly? Probably not.
I use JR 911's on my profiles and while they are a little better as far as slop goes it is still there to some degree.

I remember flying my knife with them and the slop showed a decent amount of throw in the surface but I never really felt it, mabye I'll slowly upgrade to nicer servos, But I'll continue flying with these
