Well when it is stitting on the board the rails stick up over the 3/8 wood so that means it is flat on the other side. That can't be right. I like the reverse flames.

That's wild!
Once you mentioned they were teardrops. Then I could see them and they look great!!
One of those thar, optical illusions.

Termagator drew them out for me. You are actually cutting out two trim schemes at one time. I have the flames ready for a new plane. Two birds with one stone........John

I want to change my statement about the flames...You see.....When I put them on I was strategically applying them so that when in a hovering position they would look right with the flames going up like a fire......heheeeeee

Default KE

I was talking with another GWB builder and he said the tips affected knife edge. With the tips he said the GWB pulled one way or another. He said it was much straighter without them. That was enough for me to leave them off. You can always put them back on!

I love mine without the tips. I flew it for the first time a few days ago and it is WILD. I did of course make the ele and rudder a bit bigger though. I put a piped Webra speed 40 on it. I HAVE to buy another one of those...............John

Well, now for the $1000 dollar question!

Its okay compared to the Knife but I am going to build another knife to stick in the corner so I'll have it when the time comes. When the Gee Bee is gone its just gone............John

John, great to hear that!
Sorry I forgot, what were the measurements on the rudder and elevator after your mods?
I've geared up for building again! Got the Aeron and the Menace done. This is the time of the year that I really get going.
Now on to the Knife!!
Thanks again. Don

I cant remember exactly but I have it all in the shop. I do remember that the stab is reduced by 1/4'' in chord. Thats not much but you should fly mine! I'll get you the rest of the measurements tomorrow..............John
