Ive been flyin the crap outta mine. I love it with tips off. Rolls are fast and hovering is easy. I havent weighed it yet but it feels heavy. I have a Webra speed 40 piped on it and it has no problem at all with unlimited vertical.( I HAVE to buy another one of those) If I had to do it all over again I would leave em off in a heartbeat......John

I've started using my cell phone as a modem (boss was tracking my RCU ways ) and I can't seem to upload images only text. I'll upload the finished text tonight.

I found that pipe in my LHS. I said "hey, what the h3ll is this?" He said it was an old pipe Irvine put out for their .40s. It's called a magic pipe or something (in college I had my own special kind of magic pipe). It is nowhere near the UT muff but I'll give it a try. It sure looks cool and it was cheap...$20 I think.

Billy - are those the DuBro LG on that GeeWhizBee that I see? If so, you better keep your eye on them. You've got the bolts in the wrong place. You have weakened that LG severly. I've seen numerous ones of the DuBro LG mounted that way break and go thru the wing on a normal landing. Watch it!
Just some friendly advice.

I think they will be okay if he just moves his bolts to the thick part on the sides. All I buy are these same gear and they work perfect................John

Yikes. Didn't even think of that. I was just trying to get it to line up with the blocks. All my others go through the fat part. Guess I'll do that tonight. I wonder if I will have to move them. Could mess with my CG.

What a drag. The Dubro gear is wider than the blocks in the fuse. I'm going to try and drill through the blocks and braces. They are glued pretty well. The only other thing to do is use the stock gear and then my CG is blown and my gear is just aluminum.

Billy, I would just put 4 in the center part. Two at top and two at bottom. Use washers. I have one like that and havent had any problems.........John

Well she has almost no AOA but the gear is in securely. This thing should handle like a race car on the strip.

I mean Magic Pipe...well actually I think it's called the Irvine Super Silencer, but I won't tell anybody. Magic Pipe does have a bit of nostalgic familiarity about it

My CG is at about 5". I think I will still move back a little. Let's see what Gator says when he flies it. I prefer mine a little tail heavy.
You also want to watch out for cross wind. It does not like cross wind. Specially not on a landing.

I think I am like 1" behind the spar right now. Here is a picture of mine, and the CG is around where the star is in the TX flag. Pretty close to it.

Hey Billy, here is my CF landing gear on the GWB. Throw that Dubro Gear out, and get you a Tetherite Gear or CF Gear from Jeff. This particular one I got from Kevin last year. Came off my Goldberg Extreme (so did the wheels)

Billy - I've got a couple of sets of that CF gear that Texas3D showed in this pic, though I would only send you a set for that Aeron that you can't seem to start <LOL>
I put a set on my new Aeron.

Everything is routed and trimmed. She weighed in at 4.9 lbs. I'm pretty proud of that. The sheeting in the wing is thin. Don't squeeze it. She is built to fly not to crash.
