I have the same 2 extra parts. I learned from a friend that they go on either side of the vertical stab where it meets the fuse. I assume that you have to sand the angle some to make them fit. I think Im going to install mine because they really seem to stiffen up an otherwise brittle rudder.

I can't recall having those 2 blue parts in my kit. The only thing close to that would be the two yellow pieces of wood that goes on the top and bottom of the trailing edge in the middle to protect the wing from the rubber bands. You may indeed have a couple bonus parts, I would charge them for the extra shipping weight

Check them....the length is perfect for the vertical stab attachment. There is no mention of them in the manual but Im guessing they were a add on after people started complaining of how easy the vertical stab broke at the base. My friend, who bought one the same time I did, broke his stab before he even finished building the plane.
I laid one close to where its supposed to be......

Incidentally, I couldn't get my magic to fly more than 3 feet.
What am I doing wrong?

I haven't built a Magic -so I don't know the intended use of the clear tubes BUT
I've seen ny-rod put in a stab & fin for kevlar thread to run through to make flyin-wires.
You just drill a hole the size of the tube - ca it in place and cut it off flush. Then when you run the thread thru, it won't cut into the wood.
Just a thought

The two pieces of covered wood are to brace the vertical fin to the fuselage. Trace around them on fuse and vertical fin, remove covering and epoxy in place. Cut the clear tubing in 1/8 inch pieces and use to secure clevises.
Mine weighs in at 3 lbs 13 oz. Magnum 52FS and HS-425's x 5.

Duh. Using the tube for clevis retainer didn't even register. I automatically use fuel line.
I just threaded the thread thru and injected thin ca in the surrounding wood with a hypodermic.
