If you've got a .91fx that you don't know what to do with it, try the OMP Ultimate. My Ultimate is a test bed for engines, I guess. I started out with an FX, then went to a Saito 1.25 and now an Evolution 1.00 resides between the rails. Can't go wrong with an Ultimate!

I took mine out of service for a total of 1 month. It got to me pretty bad, so it's ready to go. Hopefully Monday morning will be the re-maiden with the Evo 1.00.

The Evo is a heavy son of a gun. I cut a hatch in the fuse for the battery for this one! I'm hoping that I don't have to move it more. I really wish I had gotten a YS 1.10 instead of the Saito 1.25 that was on there. I'm shooting for the re-maiden tommorrow with the Evo. If anyone else shows up, I'll try to get some pics and video.

To get back to your original question you said you wanted a plane to begin 3D flying, well I have never flown a fusion but, I have flown a Katana V2 and let me tell you this plane flys 3D hovering ect... almost too easy I love that plane! Looks to me like the fusion seems more like a second 3D plane based on the dynamics of the design, like it would require a little more skill to pull off good clean 3D, that's just what it seems like to me. As far as the biplanes I would say you would be WAY better off with either a Katana or a fusion if you want to do EASY 3D flying. I plan on picking up a Katana V2 and putting a Saito 100 in it [8D] .
KATANA V2 ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good job on GP's and Horizons part on marketing the UCD and Funtana series of planes, because that is all they have going for them. Marketing and pretty covering. Very low in flight performance compared to other birds available today.

I don't even thing you would need the mousse-can pipe on there.. I build one for a buddy and it came in at 5lbs 13oz and hovers great with an old ST .61.. After flying it I had hoped to get one this winter but I haven't gotten around to it.. Damn pylon bug..

"U Can Do as it sounds like a great plane"
I don't think you would be happy with the U Can Do. Why every body I know has went through about two of them. Weak, will not stand the abuse!
Oh and not a profile.
What about a Morris Hobbies Knife?

If you like the looks of it, get a Burrito from Swanys House. The Burrito has a striking resemblance, it is lighter, and will withstand one heckuva crash.I have the Fusion 90 and the KAT 70. Both are great 3Ders and would work well for learning more advanced 3D.
I had a UCanDo and sold it real quick. If one thinks they have mastered 3D with a UCanDo, they must feel like Andretti while driving early 60's Chevy Impalas with worn out front ends (hard to control and they take all of your attention just to keep them on the road).

"Knife is not a current generation 3D profile"
Is this just another way of saying, not the in thing? Or is the Knife lacking? I don't need the latest craz. I can understand heavy, or too big or even too small. I have trouble understanding "Knife is not a current generation 3D profile".......[>:]

It will not keep up with the current "hot" planes I mentioned. It is a fine plane and if you never flew the others or saw them fly, you would never really know anything was wrong with it. Honestly, for the price, I don't see how you could take a Knife over a Mojo or Chinn Yak. They are cheaper, lighter, tougher and fly better. Hard to say no to that deal...

Jship...I'm not one for being in on the "latest craze" either, but these guys are telling you the truth. The newer designs are lighter, stronger, and more agile than designs of only a few years ago. In short...they simply fly better, and this is really what we want.
If you already have a Morris Knife....that's cool. If not, then take the money and look at some of the newer offerings. There's a lot of bang for the buck out there, and you'll wonder how you ever did without some of these new planes. They're more fun than the law should allow!

One last question, I did a search of Swanys House on RC Universe and only found two hits. One of them is this thread. Where can a person find these fine planes that have been mentioned. I guess I am behind the times!
I just completed the Knife. It went together in Ten hours, For Me this is the fastest that I have ever assembled an ARF. The quality of this ARF is second to none. Pull-pull on all of the tail. Not one bad peace of hardwear in the whole ARF.
I should mention that I had just assembled the so-do khoi just a year ago.
I’m ready too try one of these planes that will blow the knife away.

P.S. Just last year every one had to have a UCanDo to be with it???
