Do you want to build it? Do you want to ARF it?
If you want to build....either the OMP Edge 540, www.ohiomodelplanes.com or the Swanson Mojo .40 www.swanyshouse.com would be great choices. Of course there's others, but these two are really good to start with. They're durable, and they fly SO darned good that they get better as you improve. Some might argue there's nothing else to consider in this size range for a max fun.
For ARFs....There's the OMP Edge 540 V3, the OMP (or is it TMPro?) Katana, and rumour has it....Swanson will be offering an ARF of the Mojo 40 in the not too distant future.
You can't go wrong with these guys. Super airplanes, and you'll love anyone you pick.

There ya go. Save your nickels, and prepare to be amazed.
Feel sorry for your other planes tho. They're not going to get flown much anymore once you get one of these guys models.
great stuff!

The TMPro 260 P is the most complete and advanced profile ARF to date.
The last couple of video's defently show it is one of the best flyers as well.
You can't go wrong with it.

I have one of these and it is a great flyer at a fantastic price. It has become one of my everyday flyers. I am personally very happy with this airplane and I am not capable of bringing out its full potential.

Hey you're right! That looks EXACTLY like the one that "bright eyes" showed to Dr. Zaius in the Planet of the Apes. Which is really in the future, so I see where you're going with this. Amazing plane ... winglets ... whoda thought.

Yup, thanks for the reminder.
The TMPro 260 P46 ARF also include winglets, supplyed in the kit, and they are removable,
so you can choose whether you want to use them or not.
Its very easy to put using 2 small screws, so you can at the same day same time
make a flight with and without and see how different it feels...

RE: Looking for 1st profile
we can sum it up easy, allthough it will not be the most relaible coming out from me.
the ARF includes some nice stuff, wheel covers(removable), the awesome winglets you mentioned earlier,
a set of extensions(all in correct lengths to suite the airplane), steering tail wheel and over all high quality hardware.
The construction is very well designed and bring light frame with enough stregth to hold everything.
well done and packaged ARF..
Regards the flight, it can do any 3D in the book, and a great trainer for IMAC pilots,
it sure does all that like a "big boy" which like mentioned above, in a daily basis flyer..
More than that it useless if I'll say, so lets wait for some other guys who actually own the airplane
to post their thoughts BASED on seeing building, and flying it.
In regard to the main post of Cameron724, there are offcurse some other nice airplanes
that can do well, depend what you are after.
TMPro also have the Katana V2-46 which is very popular and turned to be great profile for everyone.

RE: Looking for 1st profile
I just put my first TMPro arf together the Extra 260 P 46 and i cant be happier with the quality , everything was in excelent condition well covered and all parts were there took me a little over four hours to build as i had to raid a few old planes for servos , but it went together well . Looks great cant wait to test it tomorrow morning , I set my C of G at 5 inches from the leading edge for 3D ! I found this kit to be of high quality and the hardware was the best i have used on any ARF. The Balsa all seemed to be high grade and this plane is so light much lighter than my other profiles stronger as well !

Cameron724,
Profiles for me are cool because they 3D well and take a lot of abuse. What is your skill level?? New to 3D??

I see your asking the same questions in two RCU Forums. Not a good pratice.
