I think we weighed the plane and its about 4.5lbs. I flew it and it really flies very light...unlike the Knife ARF. I think the difference there is the new Sledge ARF wont use ply sheeting on the fuse.

No that is not the scheme. It was built just to check the quality of the build by a particular factory in Asia. We did not see it necessary to do a fancy scheme on one we are going to try to tear apart. The arf scheme will be awesome I assure you, Gator is working on a scheme and you know he can come up with some great stuff. So far the arf sledge has held together well, the construction was impressive. If you are a competent flyer and see me at a field just ask me and I will let you fly it. Sorry but I will not ship it to you to try (LOL). Jeff W.

John, it will be a bit. What is a bit? HMMM. I wish I knew, I honestly do not know. However, Morris wants it arf yesterday, so they are working on it and I expect within a year. Sooner is better the demand is high for the arf version. The one we had built for inspection is awesome, just 4lb, 6oz rtf. That is with standard everything, and a MVVS 49 and pipe. Whoops, it did have my carbon fiber gear on it, so that is a little less weight. The pictures above is not the scheme, I want to emphasize that. I am having Gator come up with some schemes and maybe we could vote on the Morris website and use the most popular one. Jeff W.

Hi Brian, with this weather, mostly in my dreams! I've slipped out a few times, but they have been few and far between. I've got a new OMP GS540 / Moki 210 and a Diabolic (full flying stab) that really need some action. I'm just being patient, maybe tomorrow????? I bought a slow stick to pacify me in the front yard, but it's sure not a 3D machine! Where have you been flying?

John,
I have been flying a lot in the last couple weeks, mostly at Longview Lake and a couple times out at Shawnee Mission. I have also been going to a little parking lot around here just for 3D practice...This was until last weekend...
At the moment I have nothing to fly. I had to retire the Extra Special after over 400 abusive flights. I am waiting for a Sledge in the mail and I am hoping to have it in the air in the next week or two...I just framed up a Fun 51, but don't plan on flying it. I'll try and find someone in the area who could use a cheap FunFly...
tooly, scroll back a couple posts and you can see Jeff say-

Morris knows the sledge arf is in high demand and he assures me they are doing what they can as fast as they can to bring to the US market asap. The one I have was made to check a certain factories quality of work. They did a nice job and the plane flies as good as any other sledge I have flown and even better with the new tail.
