Penknife control throws
Can someone tell me the control throws for the ailerons, rudder, and elevator on a Morris Penknife? I purchased one built and have just about finished recovering it. I have the manual but it doesn't give the throws.
Thanks,
Linus

Hmmm....got me thinking. You're right..the control throws aren't in the instruction book, but on the plans..go figure..
Anyway...here's the throws. They're only listed in degrees.
Ailerons: 25 to 35 degrees
Elevator: 20 to 30 degrees
Rudder: 35 to 45 degrees
The only surfaces I'd really be careful with are the ailerons. This plane will roll like a drill bit. I usually max out my throws and dial expo in to tame the plane. This was probably the first plane where I had to reduce the aileron throw. Have fun with it !

I agree with AHM - aileron response is *SCARRY*. Elevator and rudder you can max out.
I've only a few flights on mine, but I'm really getting used to it.
Loads of fun.
