Dazzler expectations?
I hope this is the right place to post this question.
Curious to know what kind of performance I can expect (after my skills progress) out of my Dazzler? Mostly I guess I am wondering what "it" is capable of doing?
Info......
GP Dazzler kit ( I am guessing it to be 4#)
O.S. 46 FX w/ a 10X7 prop.
JR 632 radio system
1/2" added to elev
1" added to rudder
Also......when I lift the plane off the table at the CG points......the plane sits level briefly then noses over.....
Not being to familier with the plane...would you say that it is balanced ok?

Well it is like a sport plane with attitude. Flies really slow with no bad habits that I can find. I will almost guarantee it will not hold a knife edge and I have a hard time getting mine to do tumbling tricks because I can't get the wing to stop flying.
You might also want to try an APC 11.5-4 propellor

I have a couple 11x6's also.
Will have to look into other prop possibilities I guess.
Sounds like a plane that will take me will into the future.
What would my next step be airplane wise be?
Performance with keeping cost down and maybe reusing some of my current engines?
currently have 2 OS 46fx's and a TT 46 pro.
Or would my next step be beyond those engines?

Simple if you are going LOW budget and still want whoop-ass performance go to WWW.ohiomodelplanes.com and check out the ff540. It is around sixty buck and should fly great. I am going out later to give mine it;s maiden flight.
Or check out the morris hobbies line of profiles. Either the knife, TopCap, or the Sledge 540.

might find out today.
This morning I am going to see if the trainer, 2 daughters, and the Dazzler will fit in my Ram Charger along with the field box and chair to sit my fat a** into. Of not then tomorrow while the kids are in school...hahahahahah
going to put the 12 year old on the buddy box today and see if the G2 has really got her ready.

Dazzler expectations?
All I have on hand right now is the 11x6 which is what I put on it this morning.....LHS is not open on sunday so I will have to make do.
I did get everything in my old truck after all......if I made some kind of rack system, I think I could get more then 2 planes to the field if I wanted to...hahahaha
Off to the airport....later bro's

Dazzler expectations?
I have an OS 46 FX on mine turning an APC 12X4. It will hover, and vertical is unlimited. It will knife edge, but I have my rudder throw such that it comes within 1/16 inch from either elevator. My balance is about 1/4 in behind GP recommendation, and it spins very nice (upright and inverted), and is still docile on landing. I can't get it into a flat spin, though. If your more concerned with speed than 3D, go with an APC 10X8, but you can't hover with that prop. If you are comfortable with your trainer, and your CG is at GP recommendation (can't remember exactly where that is off the top of my head), you won't have any problem controlling the Dazzler. It is a fairly easy plane to fly. Not a bad second airplane. It is very easy to land, and slows down nice on your zero wind days because of the thick airfoil. Have fun, I love mine.

Obviously, you will get a higher RPM out of the 11X4, but you will get better 3D performance out of the 12X4, because it pushes air over a greater portion of your control surfaces, and gives you more aircraft control. My spare prop is the 11X4 that I took off last summer (luckily I haven't had to use it!), but the 12X4 is definitely a better prop selection. And about the 1/4 inch in CG, it works well with my Dazzler, but if I were you, I would only move yours 1/8 inch at a time, and keep where you get the performance that you are looking for.
