Contacting Ohio Model Planes via email...
Has anyone had any problems contacting Ohio Model Planes via email? I'm trying to get an FF540 kit price inc shipping to the UK, and I've sent them 3 emails with no response - anyone else had the same problems? I don't really want to call them from the UK......Thanks,
Andy

Not so, Daryld.
I Just ordered a FF 540 from them not 10 minutes ago.
Andy,
I Talked to the guy about shipments to UK. They do ship to the UK. The standard kit is over 48 inches long, so normal postal service won't carry them, so they go air freight which is quite expensive 70 - 80$ shipping.
The good news is he also does a short kit specifically for shipping over the pond. The short kit includes all the laser cut parts and full sized plans, but nothing else. The short kit is 25$ and shipping is another 25$. He is out of short kits at the moment, but will have a few made up in a few weeks.

Spaceman Spiff
Thanks very much for that. I've sent him an email as per your PM, The short kit doesn't sound like a problem, I'm just about to start building a Capiche, and thats just laser cut parts too, no hardware.

OMP
Hey guys, OMP is going strong and several folks get us confused with the old Ohio RC which did go out of business several years ago. Don't know your email hasn't gone through as it seems to working fine for others???? Anyway we do offer a short kit for overseas folks and this includes the laser cut parts, full size plans, and the CD manual. Cost is $25 each and shipping is $20 which seems to cover most "airmail Parcel Post" charges for most destinations.
